HbA1c issues in 2024 – updated 10.02.2026
Recent information indicates that an issue with a blood testing device at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH) may have resulted in some individuals in Norfolk and Waveney receiving incorrect diagnoses of diabetes or pre-diabetes between 10th June 2024 and 25th November 2024. If you were diagnosed prior to this period, your results are unlikely to be affected.
Hellesdon is working with the Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board to arrange for retesting or to review care plans for anyone who may have been impacted. Affected individuals will be contacted directly.
