New Semaglutide (Wegovy) Tablet Approved – Not Available on the NHS
The MHRA has approved the first GLP‑1 tablet (semaglutide) for weight loss and weight management in the UK. This is a once‑daily tablet licensed for adults with obesity or those who are overweight with a weight‑related health condition.

At present, this medication is not available through the NHS, and GP practices cannot prescribe it. Please do not contact the practice to request a prescription, as we are unable to issue it.

Patients seeking support with weight management can discuss existing NHS‑approved options with our clinical team.
