There has recently been media coverage suggesting that GPs can prescribe weight loss injections.
At this time, we are signposting patients to NHS weight management services. These services offer structured, evidence-based support and are an excellent first step for many individuals exploring weight management options.
For patients who may be eligible for weight loss injections, please note that we are currently awaiting further guidance from our local Integrated Care Board (ICB) regarding the development of a community service for tirzepatide (Mounjaro®). We appreciate your patience as this service is being established.
If you would like a referral to the weight management clinic, please DO NOT make an appointment with a GP. Instead, please contact the practice via the website and a referral will be sent if you are eligible.
You will need to provide an up to date weight and height.
